1Who we are

Seyluma is an early, independent project run by its founder. It is not yet a registered company. We are responsible for the information you give us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

2What we collect

  • What you write: your story, your questions and anything you share with your reader.
  • Your account: your email address, the name you choose to use, and your readings.
  • Payments: paid readings are not switched on yet, and we take no payments or card details. We offer gift readings while payments are closed. If you choose to hear when paid readings open, we store that choice with your email address. The company that handles future payments will be named here before payments open.
  • How you use the site: basic information such as your device, browser and the pages you visit, collected with cookies. With your consent, this can include recordings of how the pages are used, with everything you type hidden. We use it to keep the site working and to understand which of our ads bring people to Seyluma.

3How we use it

  • To write and deliver your reading, and to answer your follow-up question.
  • To let you sign in, and to contact you about your account or a reading when needed.
  • To take payments and prevent fraud, once paid readings open.
  • To answer your messages and keep Seyluma safe.
  • To improve Seyluma, using overall patterns, not your personal story.

4Who sees what you write

Your story and your readings are seen by your reader. Someone else at Seyluma may read them only when you ask us for help or when safety requires it.

We never sell what you write, never share it with advertisers, and never publish it. If we ever want to share someone's words, we ask first, and we only share them without a name.

5Companies that help us run Seyluma

We use a small number of trusted companies to host the site, send our emails and measure our advertising. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.

Our advertising partners, such as Meta, may receive browsing events such as "visited the site" or "started a reading". They never receive what you write to your reader. You can refuse advertising cookies when you first visit, or at any time in your browser.

6How long we keep it

We keep your story and readings for as long as you have an account, so you can reread them. When you ask us to delete them, they are removed within 30 days. We keep payment records for as long as the law requires.

7Your choices and rights

  • See the information we hold about you, or get a copy of it.
  • Correct it, or delete your story, your readings or your whole account.
  • Say no to any marketing messages. We don't send them today, and if we ever do, each one will have a link to stop them.
  • Complain to the data protection authority where you live.

To use any of these rights, write to privacy@seyluma.com. We reply within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

8Keeping it safe

Your information is encrypted when it travels and when it is stored, and only the people who need it can open it. No system is perfectly secure. If something ever goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you quickly and plainly.

9Age

Seyluma is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a young person has used Seyluma, please tell us and we will delete their account.

10Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and its date. If the change matters, we will email you first.
